It's that time of year again!  And while you are furiously scrubbing the remnants of last-year's BBQs from your grill we have an updated list of activities for the July 4th holiday and the rest of the summer too.

Parades July 4th

Numerous parades on the day include Chatham and Orleans, both of which are delightful town events.  If we had to choose, our scale tips toward Orleans since you may catch a glimpse of one of the Chatelains on a float (we won't say which one but his name rhymes with 'pall').  You can find an extensive list here for all parades near you.  Additionally here are a few more ideas from affordable-cape-cod-vacations.com.

Fireworks

These splendid events occur not just around the 4th but several times in the summer as well including during the Dennis Festival days in August.  Delightful spectacles on the 4th include:

9pm - Lewis Bay, Barnstable and Yarmouth

9pm (dusk) - Provincetown Harbor

8:45pm - Falmouth Height Beach

Free Concerts

Throughout the summer you can catch free outdoor concerts sponsored by the Arts Foundation of Cape Cod and TD Bank.  Additionally here are a few more ideas from affordable-cape-cod-vacations.com.

Not part of the Arts Foundation Series but always fun are the Brewster Town Band Performances at Drummer Boy Park.  6pm Sundays.

Concerts sponsored by the Southside Civic Association at the Dennis Port Village Green are also Tuesday evenings at 6pm, here is that list.

July 10th: Chappell and Stole performing hits of the 60s, 70s and 80s - Sponsors, Corsair and Cross Rip Resort and Ebb Tide Restaurant

July 17th: Crocodile Tears performs your favorite oldies - Sponsor, Coastal Engineering

July 25th: David Hickey performs American and Irish Standards- Sponsor, Chatelain Real Estate

July 31st: Monica Rizzio performs classic country sound - Sponsor, Dickey Insurance

Aug 7th: Mike Higgins performs classic American Standards - Sponsor, Cape Living Real Estate

Don't just rely on us though!  Ask around and find your own things to do on the 4th of July and all summer long.  We think there is no better place to spend the summer than on Cape Cod.
