EXPLORE THE BEACHES
Beach Days in Wellfleet
Wellfleet is home to some of the most dramatic scenery on the East Coast, where the Atlantic side is defined by the towering sand cliffs of Marconi Beach. Named after the site of the first transatlantic wireless radio transmission, this beach offers a sprawling, wild shoreline perfect for long walks and wave-watching. In contrast to the salt spray of the ocean, Wellfleet is also famous for its freshwater "kettle ponds." Gull Pond and Long Pond (different from that of Brewster and Harwich) provide a serene alternative for swimming and kayaking.
